Online Quran classes in Northern Virginia
Fairfax County, Loudoun County, Prince William County, Arlington, and Alexandria share an Eastern clock and do not share a school bell. A Quran lesson here is 30 minutes, one teacher with one student, on a video call. Ask for a woman or a man. Weekday afternoons are what most people try first. Saturday or Sunday is available when practice or a shift already has the evening. Try three classes before any fee. No card is collected for them.
Five places, more than one school year
Fairfax County holds Reston, Herndon, McLean, Vienna, Annandale, Springfield, Centreville, and Burke. Loudoun County, to the west, holds Ashburn, Leesburg, Sterling, and South Riding. Prince William County, to the south, holds Woodbridge, Dale City, and Gainesville. Arlington is a county on its own. Alexandria is an independent city. A family in one of them is not automatically in the next one's schools.
Fairfax County Public Schools covers Fairfax County. The City of Fairfax has its schools operated by that division, so those families use the Fairfax calendar. The City of Falls Church has its own division and does not. Loudoun County Public Schools stops at the Loudoun line. Prince William County Public Schools covers the county, not the cities of Manassas and Manassas Park. Arlington Public Schools and Alexandria City Public Schools are separate from all of those.
The whole commonwealth stays on Eastern Time, from these counties to Richmond and the coast. November and March still move the daylight. Those Sundays are on the Eastern Time page. The other zones are on the class-times hub. The same hour elsewhere: Quran classes in Philadelphia and Quran classes in Atlanta. The notes below are the Northern Virginia week.
Quran classes once you are home
Arlington and Alexandria often get home on Metro. The Silver Line runs on through Reston and Herndon and out to Ashburn. Woodbridge is more often a VRE train. Leesburg, South Riding, and Gainesville are usually a car, and that drive does not end when the bell does. A slot written for dismissal will catch someone still on the way. Begin after the backpack is in the house.
A Ballston apartment, an Annandale split-level, and an Ashburn townhouse need the same half hour: a shut door and a place to sit. Headphones are the useful tool when a younger child has the next room. Other people in the house will make noise. A travel practice, a second pickup, or a parent whose own train is late will push the first time you picked. Put that on the trial when the opening days miss. The standing time can change.
Fairfax and Loudoun, on their own calendars
Fairfax County Public Schools lists Monday, August 24, 2026 as the first day of the 2026–27 year. The last day is Wednesday, June 16, 2027, and that day is an early release. FCPS says the dates can still change.
Loudoun County Public Schools lists a different pair. Students start Monday, August 17, 2026, and the last day is Friday, June 11, 2027. The School Board set those dates on February 25, 2025, and the division's August 2026 first-day note still gives June 11 as the last day. A Loudoun August and a Fairfax August are not the same week.
Prince William, Alexandria, Falls Church City, Manassas, and Manassas Park each publish their own year. A charter or a private school can differ from the division around it. Read the calendar that matches the report card. August 24 belongs to Fairfax. August 17 belongs to Loudoun. Arlington's first day is a third date. This page does not borrow a Prince William or Alexandria date from a neighbor.
Arlington's 2026–27 calendar lists Monday, August 31, 2026 as the first day for kindergarten through 12th grade, and Tuesday, September 1 for Pre-K. The last day is Thursday, June 17, 2027, an early release. High school early release that June is June 11 through June 16. Elementary early release is listed on June 2 and June 9. Those June mornings are not early for every grade.
Fairfax's winter break runs December 21, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Arlington's winter break runs December 23, 2026 through January 1, 2027. Both list spring break as March 22 through March 26, 2027. Loudoun's first and last days are the pair above. Loudoun's breaks are not filled in from a Fairfax chart.
Fairfax lists March 9, 2027 as the Eid al-Fitr holiday and May 17, 2027 as Eid al-Adha. Arlington lists March 10, 2027 for Eid al-Fitr and the same May 17 for Eid al-Adha. Those are the days each division printed. A morning class can sit while the building is closed, if the student is home. On Fairfax's last day, middle and high school students have a two-hour day and elementary students leave two hours early, so that afternoon is not a normal one. If you want the call right after you get home during Ramadan, or later, say so. This page does not print a sunset.
A dark evening, then a long June
In January a student who reaches Sterling or Dale City around 5:15 p.m. is already home in the dark. The call does not use a school building. Keep the day when the student can sit. A late train, or a closure, is a reason to move that one day.
Mornings fit more easily while a division is closed. Loudoun's listed last day is June 11. Fairfax is still in session that week, through June 16. Arlington's listed last day is June 17. Prince William and Alexandria may match none of those. When the buildings open again, return the lesson to the afternoon that survived the ride. Leave each division's dates where they were printed.
No building to come to
There is no Quran Class USA room in Reston, Ashburn, Woodbridge, Arlington, or Alexandria, and no office in any of them. The lesson is the video call. Mail goes to a mailbox in Cincinnati. That mailbox is not a school and not a desk you visit. Say whether the teacher should be a woman or a man. The number on this site is the US office line.
Beginners, readers, and review
The Silver Line, or a slow drive from Leesburg, does not change the call. Beginners, often younger children, spend it on Noorani Qaida. Students who already read correct Tajweed. Hifz is a look back at lines already learned, and then the half hour is over. You can ask our teachers for a woman or a man. Try three meetings before you owe anything. Most households use a weekday after the backpack is down. Saturday or Sunday is on the weekend page when practice took the evening. Younger children can also read classes for young kids, and a woman who wants the lesson herself can read classes for sisters.
A fee only if you keep going
Use the three free classes on a normal school day, Metro or the long drive included, and see whether the teacher matches what you asked for. Those three are not billed. Stopping after them is allowed. Staying is when payment begins, for 20 classes in the month, weekdays or a weekend day included. Pay with Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or a card.

Metro or the drive ran long. What time does class start?
When the student is home. A Silver Line ride to Ashburn, a VRE trip from Woodbridge, or a slow drive from Leesburg can use the minutes right after the bell. If 4:50 p.m. is still the car during the trial, choose a later standing time.
We are in a townhouse with no extra room. Where does the laptop go?
On a desk or a bed with the door shut, for 30 minutes. Headphones help when a sibling is one wall away. Other people in the house will make noise. Ask first if a parent should stay close enough to hear, or if the camera should stay off.
Is there a class to attend in Northern Virginia?

Can we put the class on Saturday or Sunday?
Yes. A sport, a shift, or a late train can own the weekday evening. Name Saturday or Sunday on the form and our teachers will use that day. It is still 30 minutes. Skip a weekday you will not keep.
Can a sister choose a female teacher?
Yes. The form has a line for a female teacher, a male teacher, or either. A woman who wants her own lesson can start from classes for sisters. A girl can ask for a woman too. The choice does not change the price.
What happens in the three free classes?
You get three live classes on Eastern Time, 30 minutes each, with the teacher you asked for. No card is taken, and those three are not billed. Stop after them if you want. A fee starts only if you stay.
Does Arlington open the same week as Fairfax or Loudoun?
No. Arlington Public Schools lists Monday, August 31, 2026 as the first day for kindergarten through 12th grade, and Tuesday, September 1 for Pre-K. Fairfax lists Monday, August 24, 2026. Loudoun lists Monday, August 17, 2026. Use the division named on the report card.
Loudoun finishes on a different day than Fairfax. Which date do we use?
The date on your own division's calendar. Loudoun's listed last day is Friday, June 11, 2027. Fairfax's listed last day is Wednesday, June 16, 2027. Arlington's listed last day is Thursday, June 17, 2027. A morning is easier while your schools are closed. Do not hand a Prince William student one of those three dates.
