Online Quran classes in Jersey City
Families in Jersey City, and in nearby Hudson County towns such as Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen, can take a live Quran class for 30 minutes on Eastern Time. A single student has their own teacher. Weekdays are the usual request. Saturday or Sunday is open when the weekday never really ends. Choose a male or a female teacher. Three classes are the trial. They carry no charge, and no card is collected.
Hudson County, on the same Eastern hour
Jersey City is in Hudson County. Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen are in Hudson County too. None of them leaves Eastern Time, and neither does the rest of New Jersey. A phone in any of those kitchens shows one hour, including the Sundays when the clocks move.
The towns are not the same school system. Write the town on the mailbox and the minute you are actually inside. The county name does not pick the calendar. The district on the report card does.
Daylight-saving rules for this hour are on the Eastern Time page. The four zones are listed on the class-times hub. See Quran classes in Paterson, Quran classes in Edison, and the Quran classes in New Jersey guide for choosing among them. Across the river: Quran classes in New York City. Other Eastern notes: Quran classes in Dearborn, Quran classes in Columbus, and Quran classes in North Carolina.
Quran classes after you get inside
The slow part is usually PATH, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, or a bus. School lets out, the platform crowds, and the walk from the stop still remains. A class set for the printed arrival starts while the coat is still on. Start the half hour after the door shuts.
Housing here is a mix of apartments and rowhouses. Either one can be short on spare rooms. The call needs a quiet corner for 30 minutes: a bedroom door closed, or the far chair once dinner is cleared. Headphones matter when the wall is shared and a show is on downstairs. We will not promise the rest of the house stays silent. If a parent should sit nearby, or the camera should stay off, write info@quranclassusa.com or call or text +1 (380) 206-9388 before you send the form. The answer is for that teacher.
Jersey City's calendar, and the districts next door
Jersey City Public Schools posted a 2026–27 important-dates sheet and a district calendar. Students start Thursday, September 10, 2026, on a full day. The two weekdays before that are staff days, with no students. The superintendent's note says the same first day.
Winter recess on that sheet begins with a 12:45 dismissal on December 23. Schools are then closed through January 1, and classes resume January 4, 2027. Spring recess keeps schools closed from March 29 through April 2, and classes resume April 5. February 15 is a district holiday, not a full week off. The next three school days dismiss at 12:45 for one level at a time, so a high school afternoon and an elementary afternoon do not match. If the district uses no emergency days, June 22, 23, and 24 are contractual half days, and June 25 through June 29 are emergency days. Do not lock a last day until you have read that file for the year you are booking.
Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen are not on that file. Bayonne School District, Union City Public Schools, and North Bergen School District each run their own year. A Jersey City mailing city is not a promise of Jersey City Public Schools, and a Bayonne address is not a promise of Bayonne's district if the street sits on a line. Private and charter schools keep their own calendars too. Open the one with your child's name on it.
Dismissal is rarely the free hour. An after-school slot, homework, or a younger sibling already owns the next stretch. On the Jersey City half days that end at 12:45, the usual afternoon may be off as well, and the student can still be on the way home. Book the minute they can sit, not the bell.
Winter and the long summer
By the time many families are off PATH or the light rail, a winter evening is dark. Our half hour does not need a school building, because we do not have one in Hudson County. Keep the call when the student can still give it a corner. If snow or a delay wrecks that day, move the day. A morning is the easier ask while school is out: the winter recess, the spring week, and July and August after the June half days.
When the student year opens again, shift the lesson back to the evening that survives the ride. Jersey City's September 10 is not a date you can paste onto Bayonne, Union City, or North Bergen. Read the district you actually attend.
No Hudson County office
Nobody comes to a room in Jersey City, Bayonne, Union City, or North Bergen for this lesson. There is no local office and no in-person class. The mailing address for Quran Class USA is in Cincinnati. It is a mailbox on this same Eastern clock, and it is not a campus. The teacher is the person on the call. Pick a woman or a man. The number on the site is the US office line.
PATH, then the letters
Homework often takes the first quiet stretch after PATH or the light rail. A new reader opens Noorani Qaida for that half hour. Tajweed waits for the student who can already read and needs one sound set right. On a night with a commute in it, Hifz is only a brief pass over recent memory work. You name the man or the woman, and that person from our teachers takes the call. A teen whose homework runs long can switch to classes for teens and a later slot. The first three meetings do not collect a card.
The fee starts only if you stay
Use the three free classes to test whether 6:35 p.m. still works once PATH or the light rail has had its say, and whether the teacher fits the request. You can stop when the three are finished. If you stay, payment begins then, for 20 classes in the month, weekdays and weekend days both included. Pay with Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or a card. Nothing is taken while the trial is still going.
Questions from Jersey City and nearby Hudson County
Are Jersey City, Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen on Eastern Time?
Yes. Hudson County and the rest of New Jersey stay on Eastern Time. A 6:35 p.m. class is 6:35 p.m. in a Jersey City kitchen and in a Bayonne, Union City, or North Bergen kitchen. The March and November daylight changes are on the Eastern Time page.
Does the Jersey City Public Schools calendar cover the town next door?
No. The 2026–27 Jersey City file is for Jersey City Public Schools. Students there start Thursday, September 10, 2026. Bayonne School District, Union City Public Schools, and North Bergen School District each post their own year. A street near a town line can belong to yet another district. Open the calendar named on the report card.
PATH or the light rail ran late. When does the class start?
When someone is in the house, not when the timetable said the train would arrive. Add the walk from the stop. If that minute keeps moving during the three trial classes, change the standing time.
We live in a rowhouse or a small apartment. Where does the call go?
One quiet corner for 30 minutes is the whole requirement. Headphones help when the wall is shared or a sibling is in the next room. We will not claim the rest of the home goes quiet. A parent nearby, or a camera left off, is a question to ask before the form is sent.
Do we go to a classroom in Jersey City?
No. You stay home. The teacher is on the video call, one student at a time. There is no Jersey City office and no class to attend in Bayonne, Union City, or North Bergen. Mail goes to a Cincinnati mailbox. +1 (380) 206-9388 is the US office line.
What does winter recess and the end of the year look like?
On the Jersey City important-dates sheet, December 23, 2026, is a 12:45 dismissal. Winter recess then closes schools through January 1, and classes resume January 4, 2027. Spring recess keeps schools closed March 29 through April 2, with classes back on April 5. If no emergency days are used, June 22, 23, and 24 are contractual half days, and June 25 through June 29 are emergency days. Read the sheet before you treat one June date as the last day. Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen may not share those dates.
Can a parent stay nearby, and does the camera stay on?
Ask first. Email info@quranclassusa.com or call or text +1 (380) 206-9388 and describe the setup. We answer for that teacher. This page does not set a camera rule.
How do I pay?
After the free 3-day trial, if you decide to continue, pay with Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or card via Stripe. Nothing is due during the trial, and no card is required to start.

Bayonne School District (bboed.org), Union City Public Schools (ucboe.us), and North Bergen School District (northbergen.k12.nj.us) are separate districts. The Cincinnati address is mail only.
