Quran classes on Mountain Time, including Arizona's steady clock

Yes. Families on Mountain Time can take live one-on-one Quran classes, 30 minutes, in the afternoon or evening on their own clock, Monday to Friday or on the weekend. The first 3 days are free, no card is needed, and you can choose a qualified male or female teacher.

This zone is the one people get wrong twice. First they assume every Mountain address changes clocks in March. Most of Arizona does not. Second they assume the whole Southwest shares one dismissal hour. A Denver afternoon, a Salt Lake afternoon, and an Arizona afternoon can share a label and still need different slots. Your phone is the authority. This page explains the traps so the trial is booked once.

The Arizona exception, in one paragraph you can check

Most of Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year. It does not spring forward. The Navajo Nation, which extends into Arizona, does observe daylight saving time. The Hopi reservation, surrounded by the Navajo Nation, follows the rest of Arizona and does not. If you live in those nations, write that in the note. Everyone else in Arizona can ignore the March clock change that Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Billings all feel.

Practical result: from November to March, a 4:00 p.m. class in Denver and a 4:00 p.m. class in the Arizona cities that stay on standard time are the same moment. From March to November, Denver is an hour ahead, so 4:00 p.m. Denver is 3:00 p.m. in most of Arizona. Do not copy a cousin's class time across that line without looking at the phone.

Windows that match a Mountain afternoon

Local ask Your Mountain clock Note
After the elementary bell 3:30–4:45 p.m. Strong default when you are home before 3:20
After a commute from downtown 5:15–6:15 p.m. Denver and Salt Lake traffic belongs in this row, not the 3:30 row
Adult evening 7:00–8:15 p.m. Tajweed or reading after work, not a first-grader's slot
Winter morning 6:40–7:20 a.m. Only where sunrise and the bus route leave a real gap

None of these rows is a published opening. They are the ranges families describe. We confirm one of them, or we tell you it is full. Weekend classes are separate, for the household that cannot protect a weekday at all.

Denver, Salt Lake, and a dark January pickup

In Denver and along the Wasatch Front, a January pickup at 3:40 p.m. is already dim. Families who try to "do the class on the way" end up parked outside a building with a bad connection. Plan the class at home at 4:15, after coats are off. In June the same family may want 5:30 because the child is outside. Use the trial month to see which season you are actually booking for, and change once if summer practice appears. Changing every week is the thing to avoid.

New Mexico and Montana follow the same daylight saving rules as Colorado and Utah. Wyoming does too. Idaho is the odd one: the south is Mountain, the north is Pacific. If your Idaho town shares news and television with Spokane more than with Boise, check the Pacific page before you use this table.

States on this page

Add El Paso and Hudspeth County in Texas, even though Texas is filed under Central everywhere else. Add the western strips of Kansas, Nebraska, and the Dakotas if your phone says Mountain. Do not add the rest of Texas, and do not add most of Oregon.

What we will not do with the clock

We will not shift your class an hour in March "to keep it aligned with the East Coast." Your 4:15 stays 4:15 on your clock, whether or not your state springs forward. If Arizona staying put means a teacher pairing has to be rebuilt in March, we will say that plainly and offer another 4:15 on your clock, not a relocated 5:15 you did not ask for.

Male and female teachers

Choose a qualified male or female teacher when you book the trial. Both cost the same. The class remains one-on-one and 30 minutes, and a parent can sit at the table. That is the whole safety model: a live call you can see, in a room of your house, at a time you picked.

Mountain Time uses the same three plans

$45/month on the monthly plan, $40/month on the 6-month plan ($240), or $35/month on the yearly plan ($420). Each is 20 one-on-one 30-minute classes a month, Monday to Friday, with weekend classes available. Start with a free 3-day trial. No payment and no card are required. You pay only if you decide to continue.

Monthly

$45 a month

Pay each month after the free 3-day trial, and only if you decide to continue. Same 20 classes.

6 months

$40 a month

Billed as $240 every 6 months. That is $5 less a month than paying monthly.

Yearly

$35 a month

Billed as $420 a year. The lowest monthly rate of the three plans.

Questions families ask

Why is a 4 p.m. class in Denver different from 4 p.m. in Arizona in the summer?

Most of Arizona does not use daylight saving time. Denver does. In winter, 4 p.m. in Denver and 4 p.m. in Arizona are the same moment. In summer, Denver is an hour ahead. Book the time on your own phone, not your relative's.

Does the Navajo Nation follow Arizona's clock?

No. The Navajo Nation observes daylight saving time, unlike most of the rest of Arizona. If you live there, say so in the note so we do not assume the Arizona exception.

Are El Paso families on this page?

Yes. El Paso and Hudspeth County use Mountain Time even though the rest of Texas is Central. Use this page and choose Texas plus Mountain on the form.

Is a class after 8 p.m. a good idea here?

For an adult, sometimes. For an elementary student, a class after 8 p.m. Mountain usually fights bedtime. Aim for the 4 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. windows first.

The federal clock-change weekends are November 1, 2026, and March 14, 2027. Arizona's exception is state law, not a website preference. If you want the statute, look up Arizona Revised Statutes section 1-242.
