Quran classes on Central Time, from pickup to after dinner
Yes. Households on Central Time can take live one-on-one Quran classes, 30 minutes, after pickup or later in the evening, Monday to Friday or on the weekend. The first 3 days are free, no card is required, and you can choose a qualified male or female teacher.
Central Time covers a wide stretch of the country, so a single "after school" hour does not exist. A rural dismissal, a suburban car line, and a city bus can all land inside the same zone and still be 40 minutes apart. Send the time you are actually home. We would rather confirm 4:20 than pretend 3:30 works because a neighboring district dismisses then.
Two clocks inside one zone
Families here tend to split into an early group and a late group. The early group wants the class done before anyone starts cooking. The late group wants it after plates are cleared, because the late afternoon is sports or a shift. Both are normal. Pick one and keep it for the trial. Switching every day is what makes a child miss.
| Pattern | Central time | Works when |
|---|---|---|
| Home, then class, then dinner | 3:45–5:15 p.m. | You are in the door by 3:30 and dinner is after 5:30 |
| Dinner, then class | 6:45–8:15 p.m. | An adult gets off work at 5 or a teen has practice until 6 |
| Before the day starts | 6:30–7:15 a.m. | Breakfast is already a routine, not a scramble |
| Sibling pair | 5:00 and 5:35 p.m. | One device, two students, five quiet minutes between calls |
A week with two children and one laptop
Say the younger child is 7 and still in Qaida, and the older one is 11 and reading. Monday through Thursday, the 7-year-old goes at 5:00 p.m. and the 11-year-old at 5:35 p.m. Friday is a shorter school day in many districts, so both classes move 30 minutes earlier, still in that order. The fifth day for each child is Sunday at 11:00 and 11:35 a.m. You are not running a school. You are protecting 30 quiet minutes twice, back to back, on a device you already own.
Put both ages on one trial form and set the student count to 2. We will not put them on the same call. Hifz for the older child, if that is the goal, needs its own daily revision and should not be squeezed into the younger child's Qaida time.
States, and the counties that are not really Central
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Illinois
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Minnesota
- Mississippi
- Missouri
- Nebraska
- North Dakota
- Oklahoma
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Wisconsin
Treat that list as the usual clock, then check the exceptions. Most of Texas is Central; El Paso and Hudspeth County are Mountain, so they belong on the Mountain Time page. The western ends of the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Kansas lean Mountain. Tennessee is split: the eastern counties are on Eastern Time, while the middle and west, including the state capital's region, stay Central. The Florida panhandle west of the Apalachicola River is Central even though the rest of Florida is Eastern. A few Indiana and Kentucky counties are Central too; the Eastern page describes the other side of those states.
If your phone and your cousin's phone disagree, believe the phone in your kitchen. Write the county in the note. We would rather read "we are on the Mountain side of Texas" than book you an hour off for a month.
Daylight saving on a wide map
Central Time falls back on November 1, 2026, and springs forward on March 14, 2027, with the rest of the continental United States. The class stays on the clock time you booked. What you may feel is the car line: after the fall change, a 4:45 p.m. pickup-and-class combo happens in the dark a week sooner than you remember from October. Arizona, which does not change clocks, is not on this page. Do not compare your November slot with a relative there without doing the hour of math.
Choosing a male or female teacher
The teacher line on the form has Female, Male, or Either. Both are qualified, and neither is an add-on price. Say which you want at the start so the trial is already with the teacher you intend to keep. A parent may stay in the room. The class is still one student and one teacher, for 30 minutes.
Central Time prices, in dollars

Questions families ask
Is all of Texas on Central Time?
No. Most of Texas is Central. El Paso and Hudspeth County are Mountain. If your phone uses Mountain Time, book from the Mountain page even if your mailing address says Texas.
Can two kids have back-to-back classes on one laptop?
Yes. A common Central evening is 5:00 for the younger child and 5:35 for the older one. Leave five minutes between them so nobody starts flustered. They are two classes, counted separately.
What if our county is on a different clock than the rest of the state?
Use the clock on your phone. Parts of the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Tennessee, Florida's panhandle, Indiana, and Kentucky do not match the rest of their state. The form has a time-zone field for that reason.
Is a 4 p.m. class too close to pickup?
It is too close if you are still in the car at 4. If you are home by 3:40, 4:00 can be the calmest slot of the day, before dinner and before homework takes over the table.
