Online Quran classes in New Jersey
Families anywhere in New Jersey can take a live Quran class for 30 minutes on Eastern Time. One student meets one teacher. Weekdays are the common request, and a Saturday or Sunday is open when the commute has already spent the evening. Choose a male or female teacher. The first three classes are the trial. Nothing is charged, and no card is collected.
Pick the page that matches the town
Three parts of the state already have their own notes. Open the one that names your town. The rest of this page is the clock and the week for anyone in New Jersey, including towns that are not on those three lists.
- Quran classes in Paterson cover Paterson, Clifton, and Prospect Park, in Passaic County, including the Main Line train.
- Quran classes in Jersey City cover Jersey City, Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen, in Hudson County, including apartments, PATH, and the light rail.
- Quran classes in Edison cover Edison, Piscataway, Woodbridge, East Brunswick, and New Brunswick, in Middlesex County, including a longer trip toward New York.
If you live in Newark, Trenton, Cherry Hill, or any other New Jersey town, you are still on Eastern Time and you can still book. Write the town on the trial form. Read the school calendar for your own district. We have not written a separate road note for every municipality, and we will not pretend these three pages cover the whole state.
One clock, from one end of the state to the other
New Jersey keeps a single time zone. It is Eastern, including the daylight-saving Sundays. A phone in Cape May and a phone in Fort Lee show the same hour. Sample windows for that hour, and the two Sundays when the clock moves, are on the Eastern Time page. The other zones are on the class-times hub.
The same hour does not mean the same evening. A family whose adult works in New York, or in a town between home and the river, gets in the door later than a family whose jobs are local. Quran classes in New York City are a separate page, for Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. If the student lives in New Jersey and a parent works across the river, book the New Jersey house, not the New York office.
Quran classes after the bell and the ride
The slow part of a New Jersey weekday is usually a train toward New York, PATH, the Turnpike, or a bus, depending on the town. The city pages say which of those fits their own streets. Here the rule is the same and shorter: start the half hour when someone is inside, not when a timetable said the trip would end.
Houses and apartments both need the same thing, one quiet corner for 30 minutes. Headphones help when a sibling is home. We will not promise the rest of the place stays silent. If a parent should sit nearby, or the camera should stay off, write info@quranclassusa.com or call or text +1 (380) 206-9388 before you send the form.
After dismissal, practice, a club, or a younger child's pickup often already owns the next stretch. If the adult who has to be home is the one still on the way, the class waits on that person. Say so during the trial if the first evening keeps sliding. A morning, or a weekend day, is a fair answer when the weekday cannot hold it.
School dates belong to the district
New Jersey does not hand every town the same student calendar. State law leaves the dates a district's schools are open to that district's own board. The school year runs July 1 through June 30, and a district provides at least 180 days if it is to receive state aid. Winter break, a spring week, and the first morning are still local choices. Open the file on the report card. The Paterson, Jersey City, and Edison pages name the districts we have already checked in those towns. A date on one of them is not a date for the town next door.
Winter and summer
In winter, a lot of New Jersey kitchens are dark by the time a commuter is home. The call does not need a school building of ours, because we do not have one. Keep the half hour when the student can sit. If weather closes the campus or strands the ride, move that day.
Summer, and the winter weeks your district actually closes, are when a morning is easier than an evening pinned to a train. Use the morning while school is out. When the buildings open again, move the class back to the time the trial proved you can keep.
Three towns, one kind of lesson
Paterson, Jersey City, and Edison do not let out at the same minute. A young child on this page starts with classes for younger children or with Qaida. Tajweed is the next book, after the letters stop being the hard part. Hifz stays a short review so a late train cannot stretch the sitting. Our teachers are male or female. The trial is three days and there is no charge. When the platform is late every week, move one day onto weekend classes.
No New Jersey office
You do not travel to a room anywhere in the state for this lesson. There is no local office and no in-person class. The mailing address for Quran Class USA is a mailbox in Cincinnati. It is on this same Eastern clock, and it is not a campus. The teacher is the person on the video call. Pick a woman or a man. The number on this site is the US office line.
The fee starts only if you stay
Use the three free classes to test a real New Jersey evening, including the ride home, and to see whether the teacher fits. You can stop when the three are finished. If you stay, payment begins then, for 20 classes in the month, weekdays and weekend days included. Pay with Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or a card. Nothing is collected during the trial.
Questions from New Jersey families
Is all of New Jersey on Eastern Time?
Yes. The whole state uses Eastern Time. A 7:15 p.m. class is 7:15 p.m. in Paterson, Jersey City, Edison, and a town that does not have its own page yet. March and November clock changes are on the Eastern Time page.
Which city page should we open?
Paterson, Clifton, and Prospect Park, in Passaic County, use the Paterson page. Jersey City, Bayonne, Union City, and North Bergen, in Hudson County, use the Jersey City page. Edison, Piscataway, Woodbridge, East Brunswick, and New Brunswick, in Middlesex County, use the Edison page. If your town is not on that list, stay on this page, write the town on the form, and read your own district calendar.
Does New Jersey have one school calendar?
No. State law leaves the dates a district's schools are open to that district's board. The school year runs from July 1 through June 30, and a district is expected to provide 180 days, but the first morning, winter break, and spring break are local. Open the calendar named on the report card. Do not copy a date from a neighboring town.
A parent works in New York. When can the class be?
After someone is in the house. Dismissal, a train, and the Turnpike do not finish at the same minute. Use the three trial classes to see whether an evening still works or whether a morning, or a weekend day, is the one you will keep.
Is there a classroom in New Jersey?
No. The class is a live video call, one student with one teacher. There is no New Jersey office and no in-person lesson in any of these towns. Mail goes to a Cincinnati mailbox. +1 (380) 206-9388 is the US office line.
Can a parent stay nearby, and does the camera stay on?
Ask first. Email info@quranclassusa.com or call or text +1 (380) 206-9388 and describe the setup. We answer for that teacher. This page does not set a camera rule.
How do I pay?
After the free 3-day trial, if you decide to continue, pay with Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or card via Stripe. Nothing is due during the trial, and no card is required to start.
