Online Quran classes for kids: what to expect in the first 3 months

Quran Class USA ยท October 19, 2026

Online Quran classes for kids, in the first three months, are a string of 30-minute calls. One child. One of our teachers. No promised day when the book closes. This page is the shape of those months for a family in the United States, including the weeks that feel slow.

The opening weeks are a trial of the hour, not of the book

The first three meetings cost nothing, and the form does not take a card. Use them to learn whether your child will sit, whether you want a man or a woman teaching, and whether the minute you wrote down is a minute you are actually home. The free trial is that test. If the third class is still happening in a car seat, change the time before you call it a plan.

A printed Qaida helps a child point. A clear tablet page is enough while a book is in the mail. Say which one you have. The short version of how a class is booked, including male and female teachers, is on the home page.

Month one: letters, and whether they come back

Most children in this stretch start in the alphabet. The detail of those early half hours, for ages about five to eight, is in Noorani Qaida at home: the first month. What belongs here is the expectation around it. A kindergartener may spend the month telling a few letters apart. A second grader who already sings a short surah may still freeze on the next printed line, and the class stays on the letters until that freeze breaks.

You will hear one correction, said plainly, not a stack of pages. The teacher names the line to repeat before the call ends. That named line is the practice. A child about four to seven often has a shorter sitting than an eight-year-old. Quran classes for kids describes that attention. You can sit in the next chair. You are not the teacher.

Month two: the stall is the lesson

The second month is where parents start asking if something is wrong. Joining letters, or a vowel mark, takes longer than the single letters did. That is ordinary. Our teachers stay on the stall. Skipping ahead so the class "feels like Quran" usually means the child memorizes a tune and still cannot read the line underneath.

Missed days show up here. A week of travel, a fever, or a sport that ate two evenings does not get repaired by a double-length call. You choose how many days to book. Monday to Friday is common. Saturday, Sunday, three days, or another count is allowed when you will keep it. Our teachers meet students on all seven days, at an hour in your own US zone. A day you cancel every week is not one of the days.

Month three: slow, steady, or uneven

By the third month a few children are reading short joined words. Many are not. A child who raced through the alphabet and then stuck on one mark is not behind a cousin who is still on single letters for a different reason. Compare your child to last month's page, not to a chart.

What you should be able to describe, without a report card, is simple. Which page. Which mistake comes back. Whether they sit more willingly than in week two. If you cannot answer those, ask on the next call. The teacher should be able to say the page out loud. We will not invent a percentage of the book completed.

What these months will not include

There is no group of children waiting a turn, and no score sent to a school. Hifz of long passages is the wrong job while the letters are still new. Tajweed rules wait until a line can be sounded out. A sibling does not share the half hour. Back-to-back calls are fine when one laptop has to serve two people. Put both ages on the form.

Three months on a Pacific clock

In Southern California the same three months can start in July for one child and in August for a cousin, because year-round and traditional calendars do not share a first day. Practice often runs until dusk. A 5:30 class that looked fine in a brochure is still the freeway if the car is on the 405 or the 91. Quran classes in Southern California is that clock: the call starts when someone is in the house. Across three months, a time that only works before daylight saving, or only during camp, will not survive. Name the real weeks.

If you continue past the trial

The figures published for this site are Monday-through-Friday schedules. A week built from Saturdays, or from fewer days than that printed plan, is discussed with our team before you are billed. Email info@quranclassusa.com and list the days. This page does not add a second price. You pay only if you decide to keep going after the three free classes.

Questions about the first three months

Will my child finish Noorani Qaida in three months?

Do not plan the calendar around a finish date. Some children are still on single letters at the end of month three. Others have reached short vowels. Both can be a fair pace.

What should a parent do between classes?

Listen to the line the teacher named out loud at the end of the call. Do not add extra pages because the week felt quiet. A short repeat of that line is the homework.

Can the three months include weekends?

Yes, if those are days you will keep. You choose the days. The prices printed for this site belong to Monday through Friday. Any other pattern is discussed with our team before you are billed.
