What happens in a free trial Quran class

The trial is three live classes, not a video you watch and not a worksheet. This is what a parent usually sees on the first one, from the minute the form is sent to the minute the call ends. Nothing is charged, and no card is taken.

What you send before anyone is on camera

The free trial form asks for the state, the ages, the course, and the days you can keep. It also asks whether you want a man or a woman from our teachers. Write the minute you are home, not the minute school ends. If you are unsure whether a young child should start in letters or with a short surah they already sing, say both ages and a sentence about what they can do. We would rather answer that before the call than guess from the word "beginner."

The first half hour, from the chair next to your child

Picture a Wednesday in Queens or Brooklyn. The ride home is done. The laptop is on the table, headphones if the apartment is loud. You sit where you can hear. The teacher comes on, says salam, and uses your child's name. The first minutes are that greeting, not a lecture. If your child only whispers, that is a normal first day. You do not have to leave the room.

Then one small piece of work. A child who cannot yet join letters opens Noorani Qaida for kids at the page you actually have, or a clear screen if the book is still in the mail. A child about four to seven may only manage a letter or a line they already like saying. Quran classes for kids describes that shorter attention. The teacher says the sound. Your child says it back. They do that a few times. One correction, said plainly, is the whole new thing. A stack of pages is not.

You hear the correction because you are in the room. You are not asked to teach it. Near the end, the teacher names the line to repeat before the next meeting, out loud, so you can write it down while the call is still open. Then it ends. Thirty minutes includes the hello and the goodbye. We do not keep the camera on because the first day felt slow.

Quran classes in New York City is the note for that ride: the trial starts when someone is in the apartment, not when the bell rang at school. If the first agreed time is still the subway, say so. Move it. A trial spent in a hallway does not tell you whether the teacher is a fit.

The second and third classes

The next two meetings are the same length and the same student. The teacher starts from the line they named, so you can see what stuck. A shy child often talks more on the second day, once the face is familiar. If they still will not look at the screen, that is useful news. You are allowed to stop.

Use one of the three on a day that is hard, not only on a calm Sunday. If Saturday is the only quiet morning, put a trial class there. Weekend Quran classes are the same half hour, not a shorter sample. Three easy days in a row can hide a schedule you will not keep in October.

What the trial is not

It is not a group. No other student is waiting a turn on your child's call. It is not a placement exam with a score you can post. It is not a promise that the book will be finished in a month. It is not a recorded class you watch later. You and your child are on one live call with one of our teachers.

It is also not a bill. The three classes do not take a card, and you are not enrolled in a paid month by sending the form. If you continue, the plans printed on this site are Monday to Friday. A weekend-heavy week, or some other set of days, is a question for our team before anyone pays. This page will not guess that price.

How you decide

After the third class you know three ordinary things. Did your child speak. Did the time survive a real day. Do you want this teacher, man or woman, to be the one who continues.
